Diana, founder and principal owner of Old Town Surveying, developed her passion for the surveying business while working at a top-performing survey firm in the Dallas area for 27 years. Using the knowledge she gained over the years, she built a growing business with the support of an experienced team. By prioritizing communication, customer service, and providing quality surveys, Diana and her staff have quadrupled Old Town’s customer base. Outside of work, her hobbies include spending time with her family, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and collecting Santas.

♦ Thomas (Tom) W. Mauk  Registered Surveyor

Tom is a seasoned surveyor/RPLS/PLS with 57 years of experience in Maryland and Texas. He has experience in many aspects of the land surveying profession, including ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, topographic surveys, GPS control networks, subdivision platting, deed abstraction, and more. For the past decade, he has focused on residential and commercial land title surveys. Collaborating closely with his team, he’s committed to ensuring top-quality service for clients, title companies, realtors, and attorneys. Outside of work, Tom, a history enthusiast, enjoys documentaries and history books, dining out with his wife, and he excels at making a delicious broccoli salad.

♦ Jim Johann  Principal & Operations Manager

Jim Johann started in the surveying business in 1997. He has worked in every facet of the surveying industry, starting as a helper in the field and working his way into the office as a CAD drafter. As his tenure and experience grew, he worked his way into managerial positions. He has now been a survey operations manager in the DFW metroplex for over 20 years. His expertise encompasses many aspects of residential and commercial land surveying, including boundary, topographic and ALTA surveys. Additionally, he handles all platting and construction projects for Old Town Surveying.
